About BEEDC

#BeyondTalk beyond a conference, a strategic movement to produce...

The Black Economic and Entrepreneurship Development Conference & Expo (BEEDC) is an emerging strategic collaboration that serves the Black community ecosystem by creating frameworks and products that fill in gaps to connect working economic, entrepreneurial and community building solutions to vertical paradigms.

An innovative outcome driven conference that is immersive and experiential, the BEEDC leverages the organic processes of convening, through action, some of the greatest minds and advocates within the tech and community development space. The BEEDC engages economists, economic professionals, small business owners, community advocates, creatives and makers within the tech space in focused learning, strategic networking, and collective product development.

The BEEDC was founded by author, tech professional, and entrepreneur, Jason Moore who partnered with marketing professional Jacqueline Taylor-Adams to build and produce the conference. Jason and Jacqueline have leveraged their networks to produce a conference that is a support, gap filler, and connector for existing strategic entrepreneurial and economic initiatives that are helping build a healthy ecosytem for the Black (African American) community.

As the BEEDC works to host its inaugural four-day live conference in the DMV in October of 2018, the BEEDC hosts its radio broadcast, Beyond Talk with Faith Moore-McKinney every 2nd & 4th Tuesday on Master Griot / NBBTA Radio. Beyond Talk features Blacks in technology, entrepreneurs, economic development professionals and community stakeholders who challenge us, the audience, to DO.
In an effort to create ease for the everyday person to discover and shop with Black-owned businesses, the BEEDC has developed Shop 96 Hours Buy Black Marathon TV. The goal is to provide access to a greater diversity and number of Black-owned businesses via Black business directories, membership organizations, industry and brand lists, and Buy Black movements. Shop 96 Hours currently hosts www.FindBlackBusinesses.com, an extensive list of Black business directories which we believe are the gateway to Black-owned businesses. By December 31, 2017, the list will also contain Black-owned and manufactured brands that are distributed beyond their retail outlet.
In 2018 Shop 96 Hours will host a quarterly buy Black 96 hour live stream marathon during buying seasons to create a consistent expectation for consumers to buy Black. For more details visit www.shop96hours.org.
